Add Auto-Assign Ticket Areas on the Map

In this article, you will learn how to add an area to your map for the auto-assignment of tickets. This feature can only be used by admin users in the Admin app.

Instructions

1. Open the Admin app and select the 811 Codes tab.
2. Click on the Map icon at the end of the row for the desired Account.

3. Your map will open with all current Assignment Areas already in place. You can learn how to edit existing Assignment Areas in this article: Edit Auto-Assign Ticket Areas on the Map.
4. To create a new Assignment Area, click on the +CREATE button on the lower right of the map and select either Draw or Import. If you would like to import an area, you can select it from your files. Only GeoJSON files can be added at this time.

5. To draw a new area, simply click to make points along the boundary on the map.

6. There is a built-in Snap feature; if the boundary line changes to orange near an existing area's boundary line, the line you are drawing will match exactly the existing line.

7. Once you have the region enclosed by the area you've drawn, double-click on the last point and you will be able to Name and Assign the new area.
