Data Utility Tools

In this article, you will learn how to use the Data Utilities tab in the UtiliSync admin app.

This tool is useful for fixing orphaned data due to changes in GIS and it also allows users to convert a GIS Layer to a UtiliSync Layer. As this tool is located in the admin app, only a user with admin permissions can use it.

Instructions

1. Open the Admin app and select the Data Utilities tab.

2. Click on the tool you would like to use from the expandable/collapsable list.
3. Use the dialog boxes provided to update Object or Global ID's that have changed.

4. If you are converting a Feature Service, use the dialog box to add the Layer and Fields to convert.

5. If you are converting a Feature Service with a Related Layer, use the dialog box to add the Primary Layer Feature Service URL.

6. Use the dropdown field to choose a Layer and download all files.

Success! You can now use the Data Utilities tab to update ObjectID's, GlobalID's, convert a Feature Service or a Feature Service with a Related Table, and download files from a Layer.
