Auto-Assign Ticket Areas

In this article, you will learn how to set areas on the map for automatic ticket assignment in the UtiliSync Admin app. Only a user with admin access can set up this functionality.


Instructions

  1. Open the Admin app and select the 811 Accounts tab.
  2. Click on the Map icon at the end of the row for the desired Account.

  1. In the Ticket Assignment Areas dialog that opens, you will see a list of all currently assigned areas. Click on +ADD.

  1. You can choose any name for each region and select which locator to assign each region to from your available users in a drop-down list.
  2. Last, you need to Upload a GeoJSON file of the assignment area. If your file is not valid, you will get an error message directing you to a website where you can validate the file.
  3. These assignments will be active for every ticket in the specified area, regardless of the day or time the ticket was created. If you would like to set up more customized assignments, please see this article: Create Workflows.

Note: Making auto-assigned areas will not make any visible changes to the map in the UtiliSync TMS app.
