Populate the Max Number of Characters Field in a Form
When using the Form Builder in the UtiliSync Admin app, once you have added a field to a form, you can customize the settings for that field in the box on the right side of the screen. In this article, you will learn how to populate the Max Number of Characters field. This field is only available in the Singleline Text, Paragraph, and Number form fields.
Instructions
- Click on the form field and use the Settings Panel that opens.
- Click in the field with the text Max Number of Characters and you will be able to set the number of allowed characters from your user.
- This is an especially useful tool if your GIS fields have a maximum character limit, make sure you know what that limit is and set the UtiliSync form field limits at or below it.
- Remember to click on the blue Update Item button when you have finished customizing the settings for this field.
Success! You can now populate the Max Number of Characters field in a form.
