Magnify to Select Features on a Map
This article explains how to Magnify a small area on a Map in tms.utilisync.app to more clearly distinguish between the features in that area.
This tool is especially useful when using a mobile device. It can be difficult at times to select the correct feature on a Map if there are many features close together and the Map view has been zoomed in to the limit. Using the Magnify and Select Tool will ensure that only the desired feature is selected.
Instructions
- Sign in to UtiliSync and the Maps page will open by default.
- Notice the tool widgets at the top of the map on both sides of the screen.
- Click or tap on the magnifying glass Magnify and Select widget.
- Drag the map until the desired location is in the magnified area and tap Select.
- Information about the selected feature will appear in an info panel on the right.
- If there are multiple features in the magnified section, you can scroll through them at the top of the info panel.
- As you select each feature, it will be highlighted on the map for easier visibility.
Success! Now you can use the Magnify tool to select a feature on a Map.
